Lost and Found
Lost and Found: I found one heavy-duty FLEX velcro strap of the type that comes with snowshoes. I left it by the trailhead map with the other lost-and found items, which I noted included a microspike bag, some black mittens and a metal trekking pole.

Comments
Comments: The path from Mt. Pierce south to the Mizpah Spring Hut was only partially broken. Some intrepid snowshoers had gotten about halfway there and given up, and then someone else had come and post-holed the path. I did the whole thing in just microspikes but snowshoes would provide some advantage. The packed trial is beginning to soften further down but it was still firm high up.
