Comments
Comments: 19 Mile Brook stated out hard packed and spikes were worn to the first Juct. Then we put on snow shoes. At the juct. of the Wildcat Ridge trail things turned real ugly. The trail was a mess with post holes everywhere and was very difficult walking with snowshoes. Thankfully the post holer's gave up after about and 1/8 mile and trail was snowshoe worn but days ago with huge drifts. Then they gave up at the sharp left switchback and there were so many blowdowns and no blazes we couldn't find the trail. There was only one thing to do! We went straight up the ridge (to the top of the ridge) Then West across the ridge till we hit the summit then found the trail from there over to "D" peak. Ive never had to do that before but it worked well. All in all we had a great hike and an adventure we won't forget for a long time...
