Comments
Comments: Our group broke out to Garfield Ridge. 12" below turned to much more higher up. 3 other small groups caught up to us and worked into the trail breaking rotation. As we reached the ridge, we were bumping up against our established turnaround time and knew it was pretty unlikely that we would summit in a reasonable amount of time (figured another 3 hours to the summit and back from there). We turned back there. The other small groups continued, but it is unknown how much further they went.
