| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The original Mt Garfield winter parking lot is plowed to support the bridge reconstruction. It probably not an issue on the weekends but probably not a good place to park when they are working. We parked up the road at five corners. From former winter parking lot, the road is plowed to the site of the first bridge whihc is under construction with no deck. There was a temporary bridge (two wood beams) to the left. The second and third bridges are complete and decked. The broken trail bypasses some of the steam crossings after coming down the ridge near the beginning of the trail. |

| Comments: |
The woods are loaded with snow and the powder is very dry making it nto pack well. There was extensive drifting up high and the blazing is minimal and quite faded. I had to turn around short of the summit, but expect the drifting is going to last a few days until the sun sets the snow. Barebooting is not an option |
