Comments
Comments: nineteen mile well packed with occasional bareboot damage. a bit icy in the final climb where the trail is wind scoured. carter-moriah is now broken from the notch over the summit thanks the the efforts of a couple different groups. probably about 3 feet of unconsolidated snow now somewhat packed. loop over hight not broken. carter dome trail broken well from upper carter-moriah down to zeta pass. i broke carter dome trail from pass to nineteen mile so unless others ended up doubling back from south carter to come down that way it's only roughly broken out. water crossings on carter dome trail tricky with the big snow pillows obscuring the best routes.
based on info. and itineraries today wildcat ridge is travelled from d peak to carter notch and carter-moriah should be broken over south and middle peak and on to moriah.
snowshoes pretty much mandatory right now.
nice day in the woods. figured i'd pick up the peak i missed over the weekend and had to work for it. great to see larisa, corey and adam and the other gentlemen who did a great job breaking up from the notch whose names i didn't get. great to have so many boots on the trail today.
