 | Comments: |
all trails have a mix of bare ground, a thin layer of crusty snow and ice. more large sections would be totally bare if not for the bit of snow from the other day. large open sections of ledge that get the sun were mostly free of any snow or ice. light traction went on and off over the course of the hike. most useful between west quarry and north straightback where there were still some notable sections of ice and snow. with the warm temps today all ice was fairly soft and gripped well with microspikes. no use for snowshoes unless the area gets a good dump of snow. |
