Blazing on Livermore Trail is brutal. Lost the trail going up and down at the steepest point. Made for some interesting bushwhacking to get back to the trail. |

Decided to go off the beaten path today. Livermore and Scaur Ridge have definitely not seen a lot of traffic. Group of 8 of us went snowshoes car-to-car.
Snow was soft to start and only got softer as the day went on. We were postholing with snowshoes on the way down.
Livermore and Scaur Ridge are in decent shape up to junction of Pine Bend Brook. Some real icy spots on PBB. Mt Tripyramid Trail between North and Middle is a mess. Posthole-city.
Still a very decent snowpack up there. Highly recommend snowshoes for as long as you can get away with them. |
