Comments
Comments: what happens when you have trails that are by a winter access hut, warm temps, and a certain state on vacation filled with people who carry in 70L packs with everything except gear with them? you get a shit show of conditions. seriously the only enjoyable part of this hike was the road and the lower part of zealand and hale brook. other than that everything is frozen post holes everywhere and its not fun. the trails right now are awful. your ankles and knees are going to be sore. The worst section of trail is descending on Hale brook for the first mile. there is no give to anything so watch your step. with slightly above freezing temps coming, hopefully some sane humans who like to leave the trails in good condition will shape it up. and if not, Good luck. Gaia had it at 5:25
