We needed trash bags for the major stream crossing on the Gale River trail. Suspect the third crossing of the Little River is not possible even with trash bags. Suspect is the key word - we took one look at the raging torrent from the end of the Little River road and gave up on a Twins loop. |

We (that is Bill M. and I) made far too many knee deep snowshoe sized postholes from the elevation of the hut up especially between the Twins. The forming monorail is soft and narrow. One misstep to the side and in you go.
Gorgeous day until 3:00 PM. Then a soaking light rain just as NOAA said.
