Thank you Anna for your report and the loan of your valentine for my picture. It was nice to meet you and also enjoyed chatting with Scott on way out. I only want to mention that Anna did not wear crampons but Hillsounds. She is new to hiking but well on her way to finishing her first 48. Trail was well packed and light traction was all that was needed. Like Anna I put on my snowshoes before starting up the North. I kept them on the rest of the way only because I did not want to carry them but it was packed enough so that there was no chewing up of the trail by the folks who chose to use light traction. Great day to be in the mountains.
