| Comments: |
A Beautiful day on Franconia Ridge: cloudless, sunny, and only light breezes. Trail up summit cone of Lafayette was pretty icy, as was the ridge itself. At some points I was thinking of switching from spikes to crampons. My ice axe stayed on my pack and I managed with trekking poles. |
