Comments
Comments: Lots of snow up there. There was about a foot on Wed and maybe another 10" Friday night. An REI party before us on Saturday broke trail up to Zeacliff and turned around. We hiked into the hut Saturday morning, dropped our overnight stuff at the hut at lunchtime, and followed them up. We broke from Zeacliff to the top of the last ridge before the summit of Zealand, about 4050 ft, above the ladders. Turned around at sunset without having made the summit. Another party following us on Sunday still didn't close the gap to Zealand.
