Great day to be out! Kinda gloomy today and light snow most of the day and warm. Light wind at the summits. Saw to many hikers today barebooting it up the trail. And come to find out the caretaker at the hut told them it was ok to hike up without snow shoes!! I bet Fish & Game would not be happy to hear the AMC is giving out such recommendations. WEAR YOUR SNOWSHOES OR STAY HOME.
Trail was good and broken out to N.Kinsman where I ran into Jeremy and Rebecca. Thank you to them and whomever broke the trail the day before. From there we all took turns breaking out the fresh powder trail over to S. Kinsman. Then back the way we came leaving Cannon for another day. Great to get out and enjoy another day in the snow and meeting new friends. A big thank you to Jeremy and Rebecca for helping break trail.
