Comments
Comments: The trail up Valley Way was nicely packed and easy to hike, we reached Madison Hut without a problem. Low temperatures and wind chill were expected on the summit today (-30F wind chill at noon, chance of snow later in the afternoon).

The signage at Madison Hut may be difficult to follow. There is a sign that says "Mt Washington, Airline 0.6 mi" and points to a trail. This is the trail we took and by 0.5 miles we reached another sign that said "Mt Adams via Airline 0.5 mi" and it took us around Mt. Quincy Adams and up Mt. Adams.

The winds were exceptionally cold but with proper gear and face covering were manageable. Hardest part was following the cairns which were so covered with rime that some of them seemed indistinguishable from other rocks.

We took the same route back down.
