Comments
Comments: Snowing all day - fine powder - and it seemed set to continue overnight. Kinsman Ridge Trail was unbroken - 6-12" and some bigger drifts. Fishin' Jimmy mostly unbroken 4-8" - some drifts. Up to 3' drifts around Lonesome Lake. Used microspikes up to Lonesome Lake and then snowshoes the rest of the way. Not perfect (constant scratching on the rocks) but it seemed the best option (I use snowshoes whenever I can - more secure and faster). Met 4 people barebooting. That is going to be very hard work on the ridge trail - but none of them were going there. Snowshoes are better - and helps pack the trail.
