 | Comments: |
As we were coming down the ledges, I moved to my right to avoid some ice. I thought I was on a herd trail that would take me back to the Mt. Major trail but discovered after a bit that I was on an unmarked trail which my GPS indicated was cutting diagonally back to the parking lot. In other words, a shortcut! And with very good footing! About 100 yards in from the junction with the Boulder trail there is a sign that says "Express Trail." There were no other signs or markings on this trail but it was nevertheless easy to follow. If you did not know what you were doing, however, it would not be that easy to locate this trail at either end. |
