| Comments: |
The trail is packed solid. Snowshoes unnecessary. The trail was sheltered from the wind almost all the way to the summit, with a few good spots for views. The last several yards to the summit itself quite treacherous with high winds and rocks covered in an inch of clear, slippery ice. It is possible to reach the summit by sticking carefully to patches of snow, but if you don't feel the need to check off your summit box, this is still an excellent hike without the last leg. |
