Well the plan was to hit both Pierce and Eisenhower but the weathe changed that plan. We only saw two groups coming down the trail as we started at almost 11am. The first group were of two prople with a nice german sheppard and the next group of 3 men we saw almost at the top junction. Trlhey had told us the winds were very hugh and advised not to go over to Eisenhower. Well we got up to the .2 or so to the peak and it was damn collllldddd. Wow that wind was wippimg. We got to the summit took a quick photo, high fived and headed back without getting blown over. We got cold quick up there and glad we choice to call it a day and practically ran down the trail. Everyone had one spikes today. No need for snowshoes or crampons. It was a hard pck with some granular snow. Always a fun time with the ladies out in the woods. |
