Comments
Comments: Got completely drenched, as rain did not stop until I reached the summit, not a good situation for temperatures in low 30's. But, Kinsman Ridge Trail in good shape, and I used my MSR Denali's with heel lifts all the way up and without lifts about half way down, where I switched to bare boots through the steeps to the bottom, as inconsiderate butt sliders have converted the lower part of the trail into an icy luge run. By plunge stepping my heels into the lugr run sections, perhaps my divits will give others a purchase up and/or down after the trail freezes up. Alternative is postholing along the sides of the trail. Butt sliders are far more evil than bareboot postholers, in my view. Motivation for today was completion of my January calendar dates. :-)
