Comments
Comments: The Ammonoosuc trail is in great condition, and we cleaned up many postholing with our group, and another group behind us that also was wearing snowshoes.
Monroe was nicely wind-blown, and good firm trail.
Many area of the Crawford Path to Washington was drifted with snow, so nice to have snows...but even just MicroSpikes only were very doable.
.. but the Gulfside to Jewel was a mess with postholes for a group coming from Madison were all wearing just crampons, and snowshoes would have been good to wear.
The Jewel on the way done was very hard to follow, the snow was a fluffy powder, and if you got off the trail spruce traps were very numerous, but once down in the trees we made up for loss time, but we were the first on this trail since the latest snow.
