The formerly-scary water crossing of Dry Brook at .7 miles is well-frozen over. |

Almost all blowdowns had been cut. |

Spotted one happy chocolate Lab on way to summits and one happy older dog at hut eating oatmeal cookies |

| Comments: |
All waterfalls and cascades were lovely and scenic. I'd never been up Falling Waters before, but MicroSpikes were enough traction. Above tree line I wished for my older, dull pair. The ice on the top of Greenleaf Trail was more difficult than the ice on Falling Waters. Lovely descent to hut and to parking.
Really windy and in the lower 20s on top, but worth it once bundled. |
