great day in the sandwich wilderness. started with spikes but put shoes on after the first water crossing, and kept them on the rest of the day. it was very breezy up on the peaks and the views were great as always. the warmer temps softened the snow real quick, and the first 7 people we came across on our way down all had shoes on which made the trail a dream.....and the next 7 -10 were all bare booting billys, which really wasn't too bad because there was so much foot traffic it kept the trail fairly level. all in all this trail should be fine with all the traffic. Everyone we came across all had smiles as they should. Gaia had us at 5:40. Ryan, Christina and Vaya |
