 | Water Crossing Notes: |
The crossing on the Dicey's Mill trail was icing up which made it a challenge but made it across dry by tightroping a tree. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
One walk under blowdown on the Blueberry Ledge trail about half a mile from Fencroft-easy now but will get harder if it ever snows. Several step over blowdowns on the Dicey's Mill trail down low, will disappear under snow. |

 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Saw one 8 pounder on Passaconaway. Apparently had some trouble on the iceflows up the summit cone. |

 | Comments: |
Where's the snow? Basically no snow on the Blueberry Ledge trail until the lookout just before the Wiggen trail. After that, only an inch or two up to Whiteface. A new dusting covered the icy ledges making the climb slow. Used crampons to the top; microspikes were sufficient everywhere else. The Rollins trail was very icy, topped by a dusting to an inch. Climb up Passaconaway was more of the same with a some large iceflows. Not a breath of wind on either peak. Great day out; nice to see the sun again. |
