| | | | Comments: | 5000 postholes started with spikes but brought shoes with me. No need for shoes, so they stayed on my back. when the temp warms a little it might be a good idea to have them, or the trail will end up looking like it does now.......a shit show. theres a nice hard crust from the thaw and rain, but boy are there lots of ankle twizzlas. there were a few people heading up on my way out so hopefully some more traffic will shape it up. theres also a couple spots where fishing jimmy get steep and spikes couldn't bite enough, i had crampons but there are easy enough ways to get around it, so no need to mess around putting those on. all in all, any day on the trails is a good one. Gaia clocked me at 3:55 breaking in new boots. I Hate Boots!
