| Comments: |
Good news is no postholes unlike many other trails right now. But,lots of boilerplate ice which will be covered by the upcoming snow so be careful. Right now it is easy to see the ice and avoid it. Firm surface as long as it stays cold would make microspikes OK, no need for crampons. We found it easy on the snowshoes though a few spots where we had to walk on rocks. Turned back just shy of Middle Carter due to time and running out of energy. No easy good track from Dodge Camp to Imp South branch, suggest you take a compass reading and make a new one once it snows. |
