I don't have 4WD, so I parked across Route 2 at the lot next to the Irving station. |

No problems with water crossings at all. One is frozen over, and the other is a short stepover. |

I saw one dog on the trail today, and he looked to be having a nice hike. |

The trail is in very good shape. I wore microspikes the whole way and had no problem at all. There are a few old postholes here and there, but they were easily avoidable. The sky was crystal clear yielding great views of the presidentials on Starr King. Overall, a great day of winter hiking. |
