The upper water crossing was impassable due to recent rain & melting. Hikers ahead of us bushwhacked up to a point where they found another spot to cross. |

Our group turned back at the point of the bushwhacked crossing. Due to the crusty nature of the snow, the bushwhack was pretty easy. The prior hikers had continued on and their direction of travel indicated they were heading to pick up the trail again. Spikes were okay on the trail, the bushwhack required snowshoes. |
