Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Falling Waters is an absolute mess. The crossings where washed out and whats left is seriously undermined. When I went up at 0800 someone had fallen in. Everyone I talked to today echoed the same sentiment: avoid it for now. (Though three guys did it) Nothing on OBP

Comments
Comments: As stated above, started up Falling Waters, came across a guy who's girlfriend had fallen in on the second crossing. Strongly suggested out and back via OBP - which I did. (OBP) Trail from TH to FPS sign has some gnarly post holes. From there to hut it was a pretty firm monorail, some minor post holing (some dude post holed up to his waist with a snowshoe. It was actually impressive). Spikes where satisfactory to hut. Switched to crampons for the ascent. While most I saw had micros, I was VERY happy to have them. The slide prior to summit cone was navigable without an ice axe. I brought my snowshoes, but they where completely unnecessary. The trail is a virtual highway.

Just did Lafayette, it was getting late and I was cold. But several pushed on to Lincoln.
