Comments
Comments: Big thanks to everyone who helped break out this route since the last storm! Snowshoes car to car and definitely necessary the whole trip - trail up to the wilderness boundary fairly well packed, once the trail gets steeper in the ravine it becomes less consolidated and choppier, we even slid back a short ways getting up the steepest pitches. Minor drifting closer to the ridge approaching the junction with Scaur Ridge trail with a few deeper drifts 12+" heading towards the steeps up to North peak - no issues following the trail at any time. Deep snow pack between the peaks, trail is packed out but soft, anything less than snowshoes would result in significant postholing. Some of our tracks between Middle peak and Scaur Ridge junction were partially drifted on the way back - quick descent with good butt sliding and glissading through the ravine. No recent activity on any other trails - Scaur Ridge, Mt. Tripyramid trail from the north slide, Sabbaday Brook and Mt. Tripyramid trail heading towards South peak all unbroken. Five people all in snowshoes on this route today, should be great snowshoeing conditions for the next few days before the rain come - thanks Tim, Megan and Hannah for a great day.
