Snow bridges for everything minor, the only 2 major ones have an actual bridge. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Nothing major, a few leaning trees but nothing that can't easily be navigated. I don't think I saw a single blowdown. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Saw none, wouldn't recommend with depth of snow. |
|
| Bugs: |
All frozen! |
|
| Lost and Found: |
Lost nothing, found a marmot jacket about 1/4 mile into the trail on a tree while heading down. I did leave it there because I saw other people out. |

I broke the trail all the way to the summit. Very difficult with drifts up to 4 feet but thankfully I made it. Wasn't awful until the second mile, from that point on I was post-holing with my snowshoes all the way to tree line where it finally became styrofoam snow. Also difficult finding the trail at several points as it looks like no one has been up in several days, recent snow and wind completely hid the trail. I did manage to make a decent trail break on the way up, while heading down I saw another guy and after conversation and making my way down he did some good work helping me. Trail should be good as long as people are using it.
Also, it was frigid cold above treeline but dropped my pack at the line and made my way to the summit quick. If you want pictures just email me. Beautiful clear day I must say |
