Comments
Comments: Starr King Trail was broken out and had a nice snowshoe track. Kudos to those who broke this out after the strong; looked like no easy task with the deep drifts. There is still some active drifting on the ridge. All but one person today was wearing snowshoes; fortunately the booter was surrounded by snowshoers, so the postholes were generally cleaned up. There is 4 feet of snow on the ridge - this is a snowshoe winter, wear them.

Blazes on the ridge are only a foot or two from being buried. There is a false start shortly after leaving Starr King for Waumbek - bear left.

Nice views from the Waumbek vista (just past the summit), and on Starr King (thanks to the 'unauthorized' clearing that took place a few years ago...great Presi views now).
