Lost and Found
Lost and Found: LOST - one Nalgene (filled with Powerade) in a grayish insulated container. Pretty sure it’s on one of the steep bits of Pine Bend and I’m pretty sure it fell out of my side pocket while we were butt sliding. Also pretty sure it’s now under 6-8 inches of new snow. :( If anyone happens to find it, please email me. I’ll pay for the shipping if you’d be willing to mail it back.

Comments
Comments: We started hiking at 5am so we could get up and down before the brunt of the storm. It didn’t start snowing on us in earnest until we were between the peaks on our way back.

Fairly solid and packed trail on the way up, so we used microspikes. We put on snowshoes for our hike back to the car, as new snow was coming down and the trail was starting to collect three+ inches of new snow. Of course none of that matters now since the trail got at least 7+ more inches of snow after we left (probably more up top).

This was a fun hike - especially buttsliding down Pine Bend! Thanks to Alex for leading the way up in the dark, and thanks to Sage for leading our way out when the new snow and drifts erased the trail in a few spots. We were back at the car before noon and drinking hot chocolate at home by 1pm.

Alex will have a trip report on her blog at some point today.
