Comments: Snowshoes from parking area to summit!!

Arrived at trail head 8:30, later than I wanted to but two broken shoe laces while booting up at McDonalds delayed my morning start. Only car in parking lot, on trail at 8:40. Some minor drifting in the section through the first two fields. Trail was broken out by others (snowshoers) earlier this week (a BIG thank you!). Unfortunately the bare booters also made an attempt at the summit. At roughly 2.6 miles, encountered deeper drifts, drifting to junction with Carriage Road, and then deeper drifts along Carriage Road to tree line. From tree line to summit, hard pack. A big thank you to Joe and Kristi who caught up with me on Carriage Road and took over the trail breaking. Trail from parking area to summit in great shape - lets keep it that way!
