Happy Winter! Left Pine Bend just after the solstice. Three others had begun earlier and had broken out the trail. One trail runner, one gridder, and one barebooter (but didn't post hole - he only went to N Tri, bailed on M). Trail was in great shape and well packed. Snowshoes car to car but really could have had spikes up until the wilderness boundary. Lots of loose granular and glissading practice on the way down. Grabbed a few rocks still but stuck the landing like a gymnast. This was before the weather on Friday, which should make this perfect. |
