Trails
Trails: Beaver Brook Ski trail, bushwhack, Haystack Road, North Twin Trail
Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Wednesday, December 20, 2017
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: We opted not to park on Little River road due to the snow and the current debate about whether or not it is legit. We parked at Beaver Brook instead and took the ski trail over to the point closest to Haystack road, whacked to the road, and walked Haystack to the trail. It was 4.6 miles and kind of sucked, so hopefully there is a better way.

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All were easily crossed. Ice bridges should be pretty good on Little River soon if it doesn't warm up. Getting there.

Trail Maintenance Notes: A few huge blow downs on N. Twin trail, otherwise good.

Comments
Comments: Trail is now broken to N. Twin summit; we elected not to go to S. Twin because, well, there was 2-3 feet of windblown snow and we had to get home. 18 miles for North Twin is plenty for one day. It was only Kale, Piper, and me, so the trail isn't a highway yet, but it's totally packed out and good to go until it snows again.
