	Date of Hike:	Sunday, December 17, 2017

	Parking/Access Road Notes:	Ample parking on 302. Was busy today.

	Surface Conditions:	Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Snow - Unpacked Powder

	Recommended Equipment:	Light Traction

	Water Crossing Notes:	All are iced over

	Trail Maintenance Notes:	One walk-around between Bugle Cliff and Junction; one step over on Jackson branch (this one will be buried in snow if we get 1 or 2 more good snowfalls)

	Lost and Found:	There is one Yak-Track hanging from the sign at the loop junction.


	Comments:	We put snowshoes on at start of hike and kept them on until 2/3 of the way down the Jackson Branch. Could have done without them (virtually no one else we saw was using snowshoes) but we wanted to do our part to create a firm track. Some traction helpful near summit. Snow increasing in depth as elevation is gained. Good snow cover for mid-December.
