Comments
Comments: Snowshoes from door to door. Trail had seen some traffic but still fresh and powdery from this week's storm. The trail was pretty straightforward up to Carriage road, where it appeared that some ding dong post holed all the way to the summit. There were also some pretty big drifts and hard ice flows going up as well. Windy day above treeline -- probably 20-30mph winds with low visibility and ground blizzards, but had fun walking to the summit! Saw two cool guys up at the summit who snapped our photo and a few guys going up Glencliff on our way down for a sunset hike. First full-winter-gear day in the Whites.
