Comments
Comments: Temps from 5 to 20 with overcast clouds and snow flurries on and off all day and no wind. A winter wonderland to hike in today. I barebooted the Lonesome Lake Trail as it was hard packed snow. I put on snowshoes for the Fishin Jimmy Trail as it was not hard packed yet. When I arrived at Kinsman Jct. I saw that the Kinsman Ridge Trail was not broken open yet. So I started to open that trail, it was slow going. I had done about a half mile when 2 hikers and their dog came along and opened the rest of the Kinsman Ridge Trail to North and South Kinsman. My thanks to them for all that they did. The 3 of us were the only ones to summit today, the trail will need some more packing down by snowshoes.
