Went up Polecat Ski Tr and reached the summit of Wildcat D. From D to B peak, my one man team broke out the trail using snowshoes. The snow varied between ankle deep to just below the knee (usually on the uphills). Quite commonly, it was calf deep. The snow was a fluffy powder. Quite often, my snowshoe spikes would touch rock and ice through the snow. From B peak to A peak, I encountered some old snowshoe tracks from another one man crew. These tracks came up from Carter Notch. I returned back to D peak from A peak. So most of the trail is broken out with snowshoes by 1 person x 2.
