Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Two crossings at .3mi in. The first one was a little tricky due to the ice on the rocks but manageable if you walked up a few yards. One the way back the hiker just behind be fell in.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Looks like everything has been mostly cleared from the storm. I only recall two real blowdowns. Both easily negotiated by going over/under.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw several happy dogs
Bugs
Bugs: None
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Found a pair of heavy weight, blue/gray socks descending Mt Osceola trail. I put them on a stick for visibility.

Comments
Comments: Temp was in the low 30's at the bottom and likely in the upper teens by 11:45 on the summit of Osceola. LOTS of boiler plate ice below the slides and snow. Microspikes had trouble "biting" the thick ice on a few inclines. Saw one person who had to turn around because they didn't bring any traction. Above the slide just below the summit of E. Osceola, the terrain leveled off and there was more snow allowing for easier travel. The col/saddle between the mountains was fairly light snow and ice cover. Views were great all morning prior to the snow moving in.
