A few blowdowns on the upper part of Falling Waters Trail, as well as Old Bridle Path. All stepped over or ducked under. |

Saw a couple dogs (with owner) near Little Haystack, and one of them looked to be shivering a lot. Make sure your furry friends are as warm as you are, especially above treeline! |

Took a counter-clockwise approach to this famous loop hike. Nearly consistent snow cover from base to summits, with some patches of dry ground along the ridge and some ice in a few spots, particularly on the Falling Waters Trail. All the trails were nicely packed down, so light traction is the way to go for the time being.
Great day to do this hike again! Hadn't done the loop since July 2012, so it felt good to be back. Below is the link to the video recap of the hike, if you're interested. |
