| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Were able to drive on the dirt road to the turn around circle where one starts the bushwhack on an old logging trail. |
|
| Surface Conditions: |
Ice - Black, Snow - Unpacked Powder, Ice - Blue, Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
Light Traction |
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
We avoided the big crossing by using the bushwhack from the Stoney Brook Development. The other two crossings were covered by ice. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Only had trouble on the upper reaches of the Carter - Moriah trail with ice covered lean- ins. Eric with the bigger saw and I with the smaller one removed most of them. The harder part was to lift these heavy limbs off the trail. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Our dogs Madison, Emma, and Toby found a way around some of the ice covered ledges and we gave them a hand on the last steep pitch up to the summit. They seemed to have a good time. |
