Rocks are snow and ice covered on main crossing. |

One large blowdown easily passed after tent platforms. |

Frozen fur and whiskers kind of day. |

| Comments: |
Two inches of powder at start to six plus inches higher up on icy base. Particularly icy above spring. Microspikes were overmatched by ice in a few places on descent. Snowshoes went along for the trip, not necessary. January like cold today. Enjoyed the day and snow. |
