| Comments: |
The hike started in wet leaves and after a mile or so, started to get a little snow/ slush with snow thickness increasing as I ascended. Bare booted almost all the way to the hut then changed to spikes. Snow got much deeper as I ascended South Twins and I switched to HIllsound Trail Crampons Pros about 4100' 4 - 6" of unpacked powder from that point up with drifts right near summit. I checked snowshoes as I wish I had them but I didn't carry them on this hike. |
