| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Mt. Clinton Rd was open, and covered with a thin layer of frozen slush (mostly melted when we left). Passable from Rt 302 side, and I haven't mounted snow tires yet. One culvert blocked about halfway between Rt 302 and Edmands Path. Water flowing over the road, only a few inches deep. |
|
| Surface Conditions: |
Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth, Ice - Blue, Snow - Unpacked Powder, Snow - Drifts |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
Light Traction |
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
The bridge over Abenaki brook is displaced, and the stream channel has moved. Exposed rocks were ice coated, easy crossing with stepping on submerged rocks. Could be hazardous at high water levels. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The significant blow downs from the Oct storm have been cleared. Trail in good shape. |

the clouds lifted this afternoon, and the wind died down as predicted. Great day for a walk above treeline. MICROSpikes were the accessory of choice today, and worked very well. |
