Small water crossings, all no problems. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Blueberry Ledge Cutoff had some blowdowns, easily avoidable, lots of leaves on the trail making steeper descents tricky. Blueberry Ledge tr. had been recently cleared of most blowdowns. A few areas of deep standing water required a little off-trailing. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Saw paw prints and areas where the pup had issues with traction in icy areas, but the prints made it to the top. |

| Comments: |
Dean's first 48k', my 24th. Better weather than predicted, cool (low 30's), but in sunny areas, snow and ice was melting which was tricky with micro-spikes, which are necessary near the top due to the ice and snow. The views to the south and east were great, a little hazy for a late fall day, but not bad at all. Blazes on the rock faces are almost invisible, so pay attention to the trail. Blazes on the trees are plainly visible. A few areas required some minimal scrambling and with the ice, it was a little tougher than usual, but certainly not all that difficult. |
