Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: We had to walk in from Rte 3 parking area. Not bad except for that one water crossing. Once the bridges are done we will be good!
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Wet Trail, Snow - Unpacked Powder, Snow - Drifts, Standing/Running Water on Trail
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Light Traction
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The three bridges on Gale River Road from trail head go as follows, 1)no bridge, hard crossing but doable, 2) bridge, walkable & 3) no bridge, easily crossable.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: blowdowns up first embankment look like they have been tended to. Not in the way of the trail, but a lot of them! Two trees across trail both easy to manuever. One you have to choose, over or under?
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: The dog had some issue with that first (and last) water crossing. She almost chickened out coming back which would have left us in a strange position.

Comments
Comments: Has the blowdown section on the first embankment you climb been like that for long? I hiked this 9/12 this year and dont remember the significant amount of down trees.
