| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Between Rt. 302 and Mt. Webster, there are just 4 blowdowns on Webster Cliff Trail. With curt negligible snow depths, they are easy duckunders/stepovers right now. Just before Jackson’s summit is a big blowdown patch which was mentioned in a previous TC report. Remaining leaners are easy duckunders now. |

Percy flew up the icy scrambles on Webster Cliff Trail, but he is an exceptional mountain dog. :) |

Spotted a car at the top of the Notch and did a point-to-point via the awesome Webster Cliff Trail (AT). Some ice but it was spotty—we were able to make our way all the way up Webster and almost to Jackson before donning spikes, then wearing them all the way down. Webster-Jackson Trail was quite icy, especially the upper half.
Just learned that birds are not color blind and actually have more advanced color vision than humans. Yet the three grey jays on Jackson seemed unfazed by Fancypants’ LOUD colors. :D Hardly a breeze up high—another beautiful day in the Whites! |
