Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parking lot in good shape. I accidentally drove my car but it wasn't an issue at all. 
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Ice - Black, Wet Trail, Ice - Blue, Ice - Breakable Crust, Mud - Significant, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth 
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Light Traction, Traction 
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: 3 Stream crossing were easy rock hops. If it had been below freezing I would have had to walk in the water. 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: 3 or 4 blow downs. One walk around, others were small. 
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Tracks, tracks every where!!. Mouse, squirrel, pine martin, moose and grouse. Ice could have been problematic.

Comments: Bottom part of the trail was muddy with running water. Dusting of snow started at junction with old trail from the 116. Flow ice for the last 1/2 mile up to the ridge (Kinsmans trail junction) Very icy up to North Kinsman. Lots of freezing puddles on the way to South Kinsman. I could walk over some, broke thru others. No hikers again today...
