Quite a few blowdowns, but by the end of the day all were cleared between the TH and Mt Starr King. Beyond that to the summit, there are about 6 left which will require a axe and/or a bigger saw. However, those remaining were de-limbed so the risk of snagging "tender parts" is minimal. One is a duck-under. More if you're a dog. |

To the fellow ahead of me also with a saw and hatchet - I made the second cut on the big blowdown below Starr King. Thanks for making the first cut. Overall (aside from the remaining blowdowns) this trail's in pretty good shape - has been brushed out nice and wide since the last time I was here in early July. Or maybe I just wasn't paying attention then ... |
